Every second of tool change is production time lost. HINAKA's Q-series unclamping cylinders, BPFQ, BPTQ and BPTHQ, add a HINAKA quick-exhaust valve to the standard design, making unclamping more than 40% faster than the standard version.
I. Where the Standard Circuit Loses Time
Taking BPF and BPFQ as the example: during the unclamping (boost) stroke, the air below the piston has to be exhausted. On the standard BPF, that air travels through a guide tube back to the solenoid valve and leaves through the valve's exhaust port. The longer path, through tubing, valve internals and fittings, slows the piston down.
II. Exhaust at the Cylinder, Not at the Valve
On the Q version, the quick-exhaust valve is mounted on the cylinder's middle cover. The air below the piston is vented right there instead of travelling back to the solenoid valve.
III. What Over 40% Faster Looks Like
In HINAKA's in-house testing on a BPFQ unit under an 850 kg load, unclamping took 0.20 seconds and the return stroke 0.18 seconds. In HINAKA's in-house comparison of BPT and BPTQ, the Q version's cycle time was 30–35% shorter, which is equivalent to a 42–55% increase in speed. The exact figures depend on load, hose length and air supply.
IV. When the Upgrade Pays For Itself
The more often the machine changes tools, the more the saving adds up. On high-mix, low-volume production with frequent tool changes, a shorter unclamping time on every change turns into more cutting time across a shift.
